Enterprise Integration Architect (Hybrid, Cambridge / London)

The Enterprise Integration Architect will support designing and implementing solutions that integrate multiple systems within AVEVA’s organisation. They will act as an expert and trusted advisor, providing guidance for transforming legacy implementations to modern architectures.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the overall integration architecture deliverables through a project's lifecycle

  • Uncover patterns, solutions, and standards for technical delivery and adapt data solutions to meet client's business objectives

  • Promote standard delivery processes, document and communicate data design options

  • Demonstrate proficiency in multiple database platforms and ETL processes/tools

  • Apply API-led connectivity design pattern to solve customer use-cases

  • Direct the emergence of an application network out of individual integration solutions across an organization

  • Design/Architect technical solutions for enterprise systems using middleware integration tools MuleSoft or Open Source like Redhat fuse) to drive the value equation and adapt to a rapidly changing business environment

  • Define standards and guidelines around Scalability, Security, Logging, Auditing, Policy Management and Performance Monitoring and KPI for end-to-end process execution.

  • Mentor and share knowledge with team members

Desirable skills and qualifications:

  • Hands on experience in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform Private Cloud Edition (PCE), AWS experience

  • Experience in developing large-scale integration and API solutions using MuleSoft

  • Experience in creating RAML and SWAGGER based API contracts and mocking services

  • Experience in working with API Management, ARM, Exchange and Access Management modules of PCE

  • Experience in creating custom policies and custom connectors

  • Experience in deploying API / Microservices using various modes including ARM, Containers and Cloud

  • Development skills/tools: Java/J2EE, Eclipse, Unix Shell Scripting, ANT, Jython/Python, .Net, Powershell

  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Delivery practices and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible / Tower)

  • Experience with SDLC development processes (Waterfall, Agile, Lean) and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Rally, Git)

  • Hands on Linux / Unix and Windows experience in context of setting up MuleSoft environments/troubleshooting

  • Experience with Service Oriented Architecture / Microservices etc.

  • Knowledge of SOA Design patterns for building middleware systems using Message Routing, Content Enrichment, Message Filtering, Message Transformation, Guaranteed delivery, Message sequencing, Batch message processing, error handling and reconciliation mechanisms.

  • Willing to learn new technologies and skills

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
