Senior Business Intelligence Developer Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney is a national law firm with a proven reputation for providing progressive, industry-leading legal, business, regulatory and government relations advice to our regional, national and international clients. We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Business Intelligence Developer to collaborate with administrative and legal teams and stakeholders to align solutions with the Firm's strategic data-driven objectives. This role involves designing solutions to extract value from data systems and transform business information into actionable reports and visualizations. The ideal candidate must have proven experience in developing business intelligence solutions, collaborating on data pipelines, models, analyzing business processes, and implementing analytic solutions. Proficiency in designing and implementing data collection and analysis systems is essential. Collaboration with the Data Architect, Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, and other analysts is required to ensure alignment with data architecture, established processes and procedures, governance standards, and strategic objectives. In this position you will: 1.    Specify, design, build, and support data warehousing and BI solutions. 2.    Design and develop data models, interactive dashboards and reports using visualization tools; to tell the story of trends, patterns, and outliers. 3.    Develop and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources. 4.    Analyze and document current business processes and workflows. 5.    Gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications. 6.    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement and optimization. 7.    Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in business intelligence, analytics and AI. 8.    Demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with large datasets. 9.    Design and maintain data models used for reporting and analytics. 10.    Collect, analyze and share data to help make strategic product decisions. 11.    Lead ad-hoc business deep dive analysis and present findings to senior leadership. Successful candidates will have: 1.    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field or comparable work experience 2.    3-5 years of experience as a business intelligence developer 3.    Demonstrated ability and track record of having to learn new technologies and expertise in adapting to new technologies. 4.    Experienced in data modeling and visualization tools (such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik), 5.    Fluent in statistics, datasets, and scripting 6.    Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases for data manipulation and querying (Window Functions, CTE's, etc.) 7.    Experienced with relational databases and data modeling concepts. 8.    Experience with ETL processes and data integration -- preferred experience with Azure Data Factory. 9.    Experience with cloud platforms and databases. 10.    Familiarity with data governance principles and practices. 11.    Knowledge of advanced analytics such as machine learning, predictive analytics or AI. 12.    Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and PowerShell. 13.    Excellent communication and collaboration skills Why should you work at Buchanan?
