Position Summary Information

General Summary

The IT Analyst Student Internwill assist IT leaders toprepare detailed reports, analytics, metrics, meeting notes, collaboration support, and presentations. Will assist other IT staff with providing insights and recommendations for IT Infrastructure teams including the IT Service Desk, Voice & Data Networks, Platform Technologies, Telecommunication, and Mainframe & Data Center Operations to make good, informed decisions.

Essential Functions

  • Collects and analyzes data to create detailed reports, dashboards, and metrics to track the performance of IT projects, initiatives, and resources

  • Attend and document meetings with the IT Deputy Director’s and managers, create meeting notes, and track action items to ensure follow-through on key decisions and initiatives

  • Collaborates with IT team members to develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets

  • Provides support for collaboration tools, such as Teams, SharePoint, creating templates, and ensuring information is up-to-date and easily accessible for staff

  • Creates and delivers presentations that clearly communicate complex data and analysis to a variety of audiences

  • Other duties as assigned

Other Functions

  • Tracks, monitors, and report on proposed major departmental activities and projects at a high-level to ensure all communications are properly conveyed

  • Performs detailed fact gathering, data compilation, analysis and report writing on organizations, personnel staffing, operations, and administrative systems

  • Stays current with emerging trends and technologies and tools; makes recommendations for new tools and technologies as necessary

  • Develops and maintains documentation, ensuring all information is accurate and current

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Coursework in IT, Information Systems or other relevant courses

  • Extensive knowledge of the principles and methods of data collection, analysis and compilation

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external contacts

  • Ability to effectively communicate complex information to technical and non-technical audiences

  • Familiarity with ServiceNow, Jira, or other equivalent platform for tracking

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other data analysis and presentation tools

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

  • Excellent skills in documentation of systems and procedures

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

Minimum Education, Experience Requirements

Completion of at least 2 years of college coursework pursing a degree in IT, Computer Science, or related technical discipline

Additional Requirements

Must be able to use MS Office Suite applications proficiently

Preferences

Preferred A+, or Network+ certified helpful
