MSIM established a Management Company for its EMEA product offerings in Dublin in 2018. The company now is responsible for assets of over USD 175bn. The Investment Oversight Team sits within the Office of COO and performs a governance and oversight function (independent of the portfolio managers) responsible for overseeing portfolio management activities carried out across a variety of strategies from money market funds, equity, fixed income, multi-asset and private markets strategies managed in global locations. Investment Oversight provides ongoing investment and operational due diligence on entities to which portfolio management activities are delegated. Performance monitoring helps to identify strategies for deeper analysis. The team is involved throughout the product cycle from development, into implementation and, if necessary, to termination. The team reports to various legal entity and fund boards on its due diligence findings. The successful individual will support the Designated Person for Investment Management in carrying out effective oversight of all delegated portfolio management activities in accordance with relevant governance and regulatory requirements.

What will you be doing?

Reporting to the Head of Investment Oversight, the successful candidate will support the ongoing and monitoring of delegated portfolio management. Typical activities include investment due diligence (review and assessment of investment capabilities, strategies, and performance) and operational due diligence (including outsourcing governance requirements), meetings with investment personnel, oversight of ancillary investment processes, presenting and reporting to committees, fund and legal entity boards. Review and production of ad hoc reporting, managing any identified issues through to resolution and perform other activities as delegated by the Designated Person.

The selected candidate will also have responsibility for supporting and, at times, managing the delivery of any strategic and tactical initiatives to improve the function’s capabilities.

What we’re looking for:

· Prior relevant professional asset management experience, including exposure to private products/business

· Strong academics; educated to degree standard or equivalent

· CFA or equivalent financial qualifications preferred

· Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills - ability to appropriately engage with stakeholders at all levels

· Awareness of front office activities / capabilities / strategies within investment management

· Understanding investment performance and risk methodology

· Highly detail-oriented self-starter and team player, with the ability to maintain accuracy and effectiveness while working in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment

· Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills - ability to appropriately engage with stakeholders at all levels

· Demonstrable project engagement and management skills are advantageous
