Job Description
Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within departments) according to production schedules. Plan and schedule material/production needs. Impacts approaches, projects and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working. Impacts quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team. Has significant input into priorities. Guided by professional practices and policies that are shaped by the role. The role has moderate autonomy, requiring high levels of operational judgment.
Roles and Responsibilities
Design and Implement inventory best practices across the sites
Lead and govern the weekly/monthly inventory meetings and implement Inventory Council
Own the Inventory Dashboard across the sites by developing and implementing best in class KPIs for inventory health, accuracy and data
Utilize SAP and APO to monitor inventory levels and track inventory movements
Develop inventory projections and demand forecasts based on historical data and market trends
Work with cross-functional teams to determine optimal inventory levels and develop inventory strategies
Analyze inventory data and provide recommendations for improving inventory management processes
Conduct inventory analyses to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
Develop and maintain inventory reports and dashboards to track inventory performance
Communicate inventory performance and projections to key stakeholders
Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure inventory availability and optimize inventory costs

PRINCIPAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field
Multiple years of experience in inventory management, inventory modeling, or supply chain analysis
Strong proficiency in SAP and APO
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g. pivot tables, macros, etc.)
Ability to work in a highly variable and low visibility environment
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
