Your day to day

We’re always looking for new ways to raise the bar. So we’re searching for a Sales Director with a track record of driving sales and smashing targets to help us book our rooms, meeting spaces and venues. The Director of Sales is a “hands-on” manager, actively involved on a daily basis in securing, qualifying and following up on leads to book specific business.

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

● Managing daily sales activities and coaching your team (Sales Managers & Event Staff) to deliver to their full potential

● Partnering with other department Directors to ensure proper delivery of sales agreements

*● Creating and implementing sales plans that drive measurable incremental occupancy, increase average rates, increase volume, food and beverage and banquet sales *

● Responding to/managing citywide and corporate RFPs

● Producing and reviewing monthly reports for ownership and corporate to monitor performance

● Producing and reviewing monthly reports to monitor performance

● Developing and maintaining relationships with key clients and outside contacts

What we need from you

● Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing or Business and/or minimum of 4 years comparable experience with progressive managerial responsibilies.

● Two or more years of experience in a hotel sales and marketing setting with direct supervisory experience over a sales team.

● Experience with Salesforce Delphi, Opera, and IHG systems is highly desirable.

● Proficient with Microsoft Suite and Google Suite.

● Demonstrate the ability to anticipate and solve practical problems to resolve business and interpersonal issues.

● Demonstrate in-depth sales and marketing techniques.

● Excellent communication skills - both conversational and written.

● Thrives working in a collaborative, fast-paced, and dynamic work environment.
